Hi, I tried to upgrade via another mobile phone company but they put through a new contract.

I called customer service and was advised I could do an internal migration and cancel the old contract but there was a fee to pay for the remaining airtime.

I called back tonight to go ahead with this since I now have the new phone and am now being told I was given incorrect information and can’t migrate my number from one O2 account to the other. I’m now stuck as I’ve opened the phone and can’t return it but I need to keep my old number.
Anyone have any advice.

@Lmac16

Yes you can.

Call again and hope you get someone with a brain cell.

Social media is a good option too.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If failing to find someone with an ounce of sense....

Get a PAC for the original number and port it out to any other network

Then port it back in to your new contract
