I’ve suddenly started having no signal most of the time, never had signal issues before. Most often noticed at home and work, I haven’t changed locations so not like I’ve gone somewhere new to not have signal.followed all the steps online but no joys. So I need a new sim?

Perform a manual network search on your phone - does O2 show as available? If not - there's either no coverage or your phone has a fault.

 

If O2 is shown, try selecting it - does it attach?

This is a known 'issue'. O2 choose whether or not you're allowed to have a signal. Most times, they will just choose to block your signal for no reason

This would require an intentional action on the part of O2, and would result in customer complaints that are entirely avoidable.

Great conspiracy theory, though.

Not a conspiracy. I've had little to no signal even after I've changed sim cards.
