Hi, I'm wanting to keep my old number but it was cut off yesterday, how do I do so please? I've got my new phone and sim, also on O2.

@AlisonJC O2 has been stupidly disconnecting sims before a new one arrives and preventing customers doing a sim swap. The easiest way to get this resolved is to call into an O2 store if you have one nearby and they'll activate your new sim. Be sure to bring photo ID with you.
Alternatively you can download Skype if you have no phone to use Guide: A Guide to Skype and call customer service on 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402 to get your sim activated.
