Hi,

My son has an iPhone 14 and struggles to make or receive any phone calls whilst being at home. I used the network coverage checker for our postcode (GU3) and it states that he should have “4G - Good coverage both indoors and outdoors” He however struggles to even get one bar of signal. I have tried the SIM card in my older iPhone and also get little or no signal.

We have tried WiFi-calling but this does not appear to make any difference in him making or receiving calls.

Is there anything else we can do ? He has a year  left on his contract and he is contemplating taking out a contract with another supplier so that he can use his phone as expected.

@Wordy The network coverage checker is only a computer guesstimate.

WiFi calling is your best option. Have you asked O2 to enable it on their end? If you haven't, that may be the reason why you're still not able to use it.

Hi,

Yes his account has Wifi calling enabled on O2 and his phone is also setup, however Wifi calling does not make any difference to being able to call in or out.

@Wordy Does WiFi calling work on any other phones in your home? If so, there may be a problem with your son's phone. Try contacting Apple for help: Official Apple Support
