email not working properly , only had a few ? have switched phone off and on , and turned off airplane mode

like suggested ???? help please

When this happens to me, I delete the email client and reinstall and then it starts working properly again.

Which email service/provider are you using, and which app are you seeing it in?
As mentioned, try removing the app/account from the app and re-adding it.
There may be issues with the account/app that are resolved this way.
How do you also know you are missing emails? Can you see them in a browser but not the app?

Set your mail sync to 1 day & it should br ok
