Just call 202 from your O2 phone (free call) and ask to cancel your account.

You can also ask for a PAC number if you would like to move your number to another network.

Remember that you have to give a minimum of 30 day's notice to cancel your account. If you still have any time remaining on your contract you will still owe the number of months left x whatever your tariff is.
