What happens at the end of my contract

I have ended my contract with 30 days notice, and I do not want to keep the mobile number. I am confused as to whether I have to take further steps to stop billing and make sure nothing else continues (as I recently received an email with next months charges), or if everything will end automatically and I will stop being an o2 customer on the contract end date.

Yes you can as they will be different as associated with different contracts.

You need to give the new network a STAC.
