URGENT help with my number transfer

I paid off the remainder of my device today so that I could move my O2 mobile number across to my new O2 SIM on my new contract. They did change of ownership of number so that it could be moved across even though I was the owner of both numbers?

Anyway, my mobile number that I want to keep has just been cut off!

My new SIM hasn't updated with my number and is still on the temporary number.

I can't lose my mobile number! And it's typical that bloody O2 are closed now that I'm panicking and can't speak to anybody!

Does anyone know if this is normal practice or have they majorly messed up?

All they needed to do was a number migration which would usually go through in 10 mins.

They'd better reinstate my number otherwise there will be hell to pay! I'm seething.

More helpful than the clueless idiot I spoke to at O2 today that can't even do a simple task and has cost me the loss of my number which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place!

UPDATE: This morning I have woken up to my new SIM card also having been disconnected from the network.
Now when I call both numbers from my tablet, I'm just getting the voice message saying the number you have called is not recognised.
Have they cancelled both of my contracts? I'm so confused as both numbers have disappeared from My O2.

That may be a sign of hope.

Keep rebooting to see if the SIM comes back online. If it does, it should have your retained number on it.
