Hi all,
To say I'm frustrated is an understatement! Hopefully someone can clarify this for me.
I returned a device as unwanted during the 14 day period. That has been received and refunded but the linked airtime plan wasn't cancelled. I contacted online chat who cancelled it but said it was on 30 days notice. I disputed that but it was a waste of time. I've since contacted the social media team who say it's due to be cancelled in 30 days as per the online agent.
I was under the impression that a device purchased as a new line and subsequently returned would have the airtime cancelled at the same time. By placing this on 30 days notice I will be paying for the airtime up until the cancellation date which I'm sure isn't right. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks.

Your assumption is correct. You should only pay for the days you had the sim active.

Relative of mine is the same... took out an O2 sim only, when it arrived they got offered a better deal with current network, told O2 to cancel as per the 14 day change of mind and was told she needs to give 30 days notice. So shes now paying 30 day tariff on an order that will never be used.
My understanding is within 14 days you can return/cancel and it will immediately be disconnected if its just sim only, not 30 day notice.
