Hi,

So got my o2 sim on Saturday.

I did input pac details on my application, but was unsure if it was accepted, so on Saturday when i recieved my sim i also completed the online form.

I've not recieved any aknowledgment that this request has been recieved, not online, sms, or email.

How do i know my number will be ported over, and when is this likely to be?

Would it be ok to put back my old sim in my phone and use that for the time being so i don't miss any calls, etc? Or am i likely to miss important info from O2?

Apologies for questions, 1st time i've ported in years.

@Portlanders

Continue to use your old SIM until it turns off.

Number ports are taking a little longer than usual at the moment.

Everything is taking longer due to the lockdown. Call centres and social distancing means limited staff to handle all the queries. Patience needed I'm afraid.

Thank you for the link, i'm in no hurry, i'll just keep using my old sim for the time being.
I'll put the new one in daily just to check for any sms i may recieve about the porting.

I actually wondered if there was a section on the website in my account which would verfiy the porting request has been recieved, but doesn't look like there is.... no worries, and thanks again.

Well that's a surprise, decided to phone O2 just to ensure they have the porting details.
They answered the phone straight away, no wait time, and I've been informed they are porting today and full service will be restored by 6pm.
Great service, thanks again guys.
