O2 Travel Inclusive Zone

Hi there, does anyone know if the O2 travel inclusive zone works properly now. Had a horrible experience with it in the USA in October. Is it usable now, or will i need to buy a local or 3 PAYG sim? Thanks.

@Scooty997 get a local SIM when you're there.

O2 is still heavily throttling data and I've heard that 3 isn't as good as it used to be now either.

If you need your phone unlocked to take a local sim then follow the advice in this thread

The two US networks which work on UK phones are T Mobile and AT&T.

Also make use of plentiful wifi whist you are in the US

I came here to ask the same thing after reading numerous threads from last year.

My excitement was very short-lived on seeing the free data usage in the US. Oh well, O2 will never improve.

It's a shame that these threads continually come up. O2 promote their "inclusive travel", but it is all but unusable.
