Is there a way of finding/deactivating a lost phone - samsung with no tracking software activated.

My wife lost her (samsung) phone today, and we were wondering what to do next.

Ideally we would like to find it, however 6 hours later we haven't had any success.

Unfortunately (unlike my iphone) she hasn't activated the 'find a phone' option so accessing its location via the Samsung website isn't an option.

I'm currently on hold (12 minutes in) with 02, so thought I's seek advice elsewhere - I've seen there are phone finding services, however given the reviews I'm dubious of handing over any payment details.

Any help/advice gratefully received.

Many thanks

Nick

Try Googles find my phone https://www.google.com/android/find/    as that works via the Google Account.

As there will be nothing o2 can do, and do not give any money to a find my phone service..
