I’ve just u graded my tarriff, when will my data be active?

After running out of data again, I’ve decided to upgrade my tarried instead of buying a Bolton as I feel I need more per month anyway not just as a one off. When can I expect that extra data to be available to use? Will it be immediately or after my next bill? As I was hoping to use it right away.

Hi @Anonymous You can upgrade but it will become effective on your next billing date. Check in My O2 for your options http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

If you need further advice give customer services a call https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

It's always a good idea to upgrade your tariff then keep buying bolt ons. Your tariff will normally change on your billing date. You could try calling 202 to see if you can change now but you would only get a pro rata allowance until your next billing date. That would be if they can do it at all.

If you call customer services they might goodwill you a bit of extra data to see you through until the new tariff kicks in on your billing date.
