Hi i am a new customer, paying monthly. I took out a contract and received my phone yesterday. I received my first bill saying its for the period yesterday-yesterday. I want to know why i am paying a full month's bill for just yesterday when i have only just had the phone for 1day? Surely i have to use it for 1month before my first bill is due?

Guide: How to Pay Your Bill (Airtime & Device Plans) - this guide might help explain how your bill is calculated, @Bri4  - depending on whether you rodered direct from O2 or from a reseller, and whether you have bought a phone with an up-front payment.

Here's the info from O2 on how billing works, as a short video if needed, and this note:

  • If you joined us on the 29th, 30th or 31st of the month, your official billing date will be the 1st of the following month. Your first bill will be pro rata, which means that we’ll charge you for one full month’s airtime, as well as any airtime you use in those first few days before your billing cycle starts.

Welcome to O2!
