Dodgy Message/Phone Call

I received two phone calls yesterday, as I didn't recognise the number, I chose to ignore the call but sent a txt message asking why they had called me.   The reply was they were returning 'my call'.   I said I didnt call them, they were insistant that I had and gave time and date of phone call.   I know for a fact my phone was offline when they said I had called.   I don't think the person who called me mis-dialed as they were 'returning' my call.   My phone has no calls made, besides I know it was off during the time and date the person claimed I called them.

Anyone else experienced something similar?

Probaly just cold callers trying to get you to buy something, you neither want or need.
