A call from virgin

Hi ,i had a call today from someone saying that virgin would be blocking my sim card. they did not refer to me using my name so i hung up, so i dont know wether my card is going to be blocked or not . If it was a genuine call why is my sim being blocked?

It's a well known scam.

Forward the scam number to 7726 - It's free.

It's a scam. Virgin no longer do mobiles.

Block the number and report it to 7726

Phishing, Smishing & Scams. Latest info & advice. 

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

They're playing on the fact that 3g is being switched off, but O2 will officially contact customers via text and email for those affected.
