I recently tried to obtain a contract with 02. I payed £30 upfront however my contract was declined. I phoned and they said they would reinburse the money but ive just had a confirmation saying i have £30 credit? Does this mean they will return it to my account or have they just added it to my 02 account?

If it was declined then then o2 dont have your money your bank have it ring fenced, best way to find out is to go to your bank account either in app or via the online banking and it will show as pending.  

Your bank will return it in 24hrs to 14days depending on your bank, Paypal can the the same. 
If you need to get it quicker speak to your bank.
