Hi everyone,
I’m seeking advice on how to close my O2 pay monthly contract. I recently relocated to Italy for work, so I no longer need my O2 UK phone number. I've tried using the "My O2" section on the website, but when I navigate to "My O2 / Your Agreements," it doesn’t show any active agreements, even though I’m still on a direct debit payment setup.
I’ve also been with O2 for longer than the minimum contract period, so I’m eligible to close the account. However, I understand that it’s best not to disable my direct debit before successfully reaching out to O2 to avoid any issues.
Unfortunately, calling O2 support has been difficult from abroad, as my UK line isn't successfully connecting to their phone numbers. Does anyone have experience closing their account from outside the UK, or can suggest alternative contact methods? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

want to terminate my contract but am not signing up to a new mobile network
Two options here. You can follow the original guide linked above or you can get a PAYG sim for any network that is different to the one you are leaving and give them a STAC code to close down your old account
