Changeover from payg to contract

Hi. I'm currently a pay as you go customer and would like to switch over to a sim only monthly contract. Does anyone know if this can be done without changing my current sim card? And if so, can it be done online? I've tried ringing customer service with this query, but you probably all already know, it's well nigh impossible. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

you can keep your same number but will need to be a new SIM which they will post to you. are you just worked about delivery time or?

Thanks for the reply Kurt. I've looked on this app and seen that I would have to wait for the new sim to arrive and then complete a 'keep my phone number' form online, which I obviously can't do now as olsome of the mandatory fields are asking for the new phone number and the new sim number,which I obviously don't have. I'd also have trouble changing the sim as I don't have the little implement to open the sim compartment. This is why I was hoping that the switch could be done using my current sim.
