3g faster than 4g

Just done a speedtest using the o2 network status app and both come out at around 15mbps with 3g just slightly faster

Yes it can be possible. It depends on how many people are using each network at that point in time and which mast each signal is coming from. Your 4g may be coming from a mast further away than your 3g.

Ah right cheers. The mast where where work is dodgy and 4g often died (02 are aware but say nothing they can do) and when it does it takes voice and text with it. 3g on the other hand can still make calls and send texts even if data isnt working

Calls can only be made by 3G/2G anyway at the moment.

Ah right. Texts refuse to send when 4g data dies. When data dies on 3g texts still send.

I may be wrong but I thought Texts go over the 2g and 3g networks. 4g is data only. @MI5 ???

Oho i dunno then. Phone doesn't change to 3g when sending texts

When in 4g mode texts send alot quicker too compared to 3g
