I have just bought a bolt on for data on my phone and can only get 3g rather than 4g.  How can I change this?

Hi if you have an Android phone, like me, go to Settings, Network and Internet, tap on Mobile Network and select 4G as network type.

Don't forget you need to be in a 4G area to get 4G, so if you can't get 4G and you have selected 4G on your phone, then you you will just get 3G instead.

Also have you checked your SIM is 4G capable, @Terry2630?

Older SIMs needed to be changed for 4G operation (likewise for 5G now too, the SIM needs to be the correct type)
