I have recently been charged for making/receiving a WhatsApp call. I have never been charged before although I have been using it almost daily to help my granddaughter with her school work?

You shoudn't be charged for a WhatsApp call but you can be charged for the data it uses to make that call over 3G/4G/5G

Dear O2
I thought my tariff of £26 was for unlimited calls and texts. I bought my phone so not on a high tariff.
However, in Oct-Nov I paid £48 in calls and Nov-Dec I paid £30.79.
Please explain?
Kind regards

O2 will not reply to you here and threats to leave count for nothing I'm afraid.
You should check if you have made calls outside of your allowances Guide: Your Allowances - what is and isn't included and if you need to call customer service.

When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.
