Hi,

I've had notification that O2 are discontinuing our 12 month mobile broadband sim.

It expires on 1st July 2025 - will I be able to continue using it until it expires?

The press release from O2 states the service will close on 31st January after which the SIM cannot be used.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Ledcatherine

You need to contact O2 on 4445 to get any outstanding credit refunded.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

The mobile Broadband devices are still showing in the shop and stating nothing about closure date.

I understood they wouldn't sell it after January 25 and thought current contracts would be honoured?

That's why I told @Ledcatherine to check.

@LedcatherineHaving checked, @Enlli is correct. You will be able to use the service up tp 31st January then it will be closed..

@Cleoriff The devices will still be on sale as the Contract side of things is not closing.

Yes @Enlli  and as they are unlocked, you can use any network data sim.

@Cleoriff Or take them out as a contract which is still showing the old annual rise formula, wait for the text then leave the airtime penalty free 😉
