Hi, I hope everyone is well.

My dad has asked me to get him a new O2 sim card for his old phone(I think it is a Tesco phone), he just wants the most basic Pay as you Go tariff as he does not use the phone much but he wants a swipe card so he can credit his account in the shops.

What is the best way of doing this?

Thanks

You can't get a basic PAYG from O2 anymore.

You need to get one from giffgaff if that's what he wants.

Giffgaff would be the way to go, but they dont and have never offered E-TopUp cards.

You may be best sticking with Tesco who offer PAYG and it runs on o2 and they still offer EtopUp Cards.

You can still buy vouchers from almost anywhere for giffgaff though (also runs on O2 network) https://www.giffgaff.com/help/articles/where-can-i-buy-a-giffgaff-top-up-voucher

Networks are doing away with top up cards these days too.....
