Also look at this guide about Refresh...you can pay off your device and give 30 days notice to cancel airtime

Best and fastest way to pay off your device if you are not upgrading is via C.S. My O2 doesn't let you make addtional payments over your contractual monthly payment only pay off as part of the upgrade process.
You have to call C.S to pay off completely.
