Number transfer

I have requested my number to be ported over from Giff Gaff to O2.  

 

The number I am wishing to transfer has stopped working on my old phone (before 8am this morning), but is still not working on my new phone (now 14:16)  How long does it normally take? I need this number for work purposes?

 

Unable to find a telephone number to actually speak to a person at o2 which is pretty rubbish seeing as they are a communications company..  

 

Can anyone help?

It can take up to 24 hours in worst cases.
