HELP! My speaker wasn't working at all couldn't hear my phone ring or hear anything when I dialled out so did a factory re-set before sending it back but that's been going on for 2 hours now, seems like a really long time.

Anyone how long it should or will take?

If you have got to the spinning cogs stage just let it run.... It's not normally too long but I have known some say it takes quite a few hours sometimes.....

Hopefully it finished, but sounded like it had stalled.

Could leave the OP needing to do a full software restore, hopefully not!

Not an option on Windows phones for the average user.... A factory reset is all you can do.

Nokia Care Suite is always an option and not difficult to use.

Did you ever have any luck with NCS?
I haven't.... Maybe it's me but I find it most unfriendly 😞

Only tried it a handful of times to debrand handsets but seemed to do the trick when called upon.

There is something else I used for later Lumia's - just trying to remember what it was!

*edit* must have only been ncs as seems there is nothing else!
