Phone O2 on 202 and they'll do it for you, is the contract finished with the minimum period?

Do not cancel your direct debit until you have the final bill.

Phone 202 as you've been advised. If you are on the 24month contract purchased from a third-party dealer ( Carphone Warehouse, Amazon, buymobilephones.net, etc.) or any pre-Refresh contract, you'd have to pay an early termination fee which is your monthly price multiplied by the number of the remaining months minus VAT.

If you're on the Refresh contract, just pay off your Device Plan, and you won't be liable to pay anything on your Airtime Plan. Just watch it though, they send me a bill to pay off the early termination fee when I cancelled my Refresh contract due to the "system error" as they called it. Got it sorted at the end, but keep your eyes opened.

If your minimum term is up just call 202 and give 30 days notice. If you want to keep your number and take it to another network ask for your PAC. Using it will automatically end the contract and a final bill will be produced.

Ask for your PAC and use it on another network = Instant O2 contract cancellation and 100% guaranteed.
But, leave your DD in place or expect a final bill to make sure you don't get a missed payment on your credit file.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
