Registering New Phone on My O2

I have bought a new unlocked phone and put in my O2 sim. I am on a monthly pay sim only contract. I want to add the new phone to my O2 to replace my current older phone. Because it's the same sim the phone number is the same. I have tried to do this unsuccessfully.

How do I register my new phone and delte my ole one?

Your device will automatically update in time, you can't do it yourself.

If it concerns you then call customer service but in reality it won't cause you any issues at all in your usage on the network. Everything else remains the same with your current contract.
