i have spent the best part of today being passed from so many departments what REALLY annoys me is they can spend thousands out on advertising supporting music sport and FREEBIES YES FREEBIES like free dinner on monday free items from boots etc but when it comes to a charity sos that relies on a telephone especially a mobile and you ask for help nobody can help i used too be a customer of O2 BUT why cannot they help a charity non profit that is desperate for a basic handset

please surprise me with an answer

Sorry @Anonymous, but we're all customers here. Maybe @Toby our Head of Community can explain O2's policies concerning charities.

I think you need to elaborate a little. Are you after a free handset or have you a problem with your present phone. Maybe we can help here?

@Anonymous I am not sure O2 would be giving a phone away to anyone. I appreciate you are a charity but that probably makes no difference to them. Is there no-one else you could ask to donate a phone to your charity..?

If you advertised in a local free paper I am sure many people would help you

By me putting an @ in front of his name it will notify him to look at this thread. He may be off duty now, and might not contact you until tomorrow, but I'm sure he will get in touch with you at some point.

@Anonymous Pardon my curiosity, but what is your charity? As @Cleoriff mentioned earlier, is there no one who contributes to your charity that you could ask to donate a phone? You can get a bog standard phone for very little on Amazon.

Are you simply asking for a phone or some kind of plan. To be fair, staff at any store are answerable to their company so you surely don't expect them to be able to just give a phone away without approval from the higher management. Go through the proper channel and I'm sure you will get some form of help if you are a registered charity.
