hello im Neuro diverse. and nothing matches so im getting overwhelmed and stressed out.

I need to send my phone back for repair, it is very broken! I'm insured thankfully.

but the information doesn't follow a logical stream with the same jargon so I need very clear steps.

o2 says I have to turn my "find my" off, but on the find my apple thing it says "erase phone"is that the same?

Will that clear password protection?

Remove information like banking?

How do I know my phone is safe to send ?

Can I erase all data - as this is in my cloud?- how?

I already have little faith in o2, so this is making me very anxious and as my phone decided to put on a pair of Y fronts and fly into the sky I have very little choice and I cannot do this on the actual device.

Please help , thank you

@Joelle

Would it be easier for you to go into an O2 store and ask them to look at it?

It might help if someone can show you what to do, rather than an explanation which could end up confusing you more?

If you do go instore, you will need to take Photo ID.
Best of luck. Hope this helps.

thank you, you are very kind.

so I've just been to the shop, they were really unhelpful, the only good thing about o2 is this community, as soon as i'm out of contract i'm gone. I've never felt so badly treated in my life. even the chat bot doesn't understand broken phone. the whole company has let me down since they joined virgin. I've been with them for going on 15 years. time for a change

@Joelle

To answer the snip from your post, yes.

Erasing your phone in iCloud will clear everything from it and leave it safe to return. It's the same as doing it on your phone.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Sorry to hear that @Joelle

The staff at the O2 shop where I live are renowned for being helpful and do go the extra mile.

Still @MI5 has given you the help you need so follow his advice.
