I ordered an iPhone 16 pro max on o2 switch up and it came this morning. I was asked for a delivery pin that I never even received from o2. They had sent it to an old number that I no longer have access to. The driver refused to give me my phone without the pin but he was nice enough to let me know that he’ll give me time to call o2 and he’d return later with the phone. I called o2 and I must’ve spoken to at least 6 people on the phone who were all useless. I’m now having to cancel my order for the phone. I’ve seen many other people having this issue and it’s terrible. o2 customer service is awful. It’s as simple as just sending the code to the correct number and they just refuse to for literally no reason. DO NOT ORDER A PHONE FROM O2 whilst they’re using this delivery PIN system. It’s a shambles. I won’t be using o2 again and I’m considering taking action against them as it’s not only left me without a phone but their customer service is absolutely terrible and they didn’t even try to resolve the issue. All they did was apologise. I’ve seen so many people online with this same issue. This new system is a joke.

Not sure what action you can take against them, as you should have updated all your number on myo2 including any contact numbers, not sure how o2 would know you dont have access to it....
For some people its a total mess for 99% of people it works fine..., but its done to protect o2 from thieving scrotes...
Just be aware everyone is starting to implement this in the same way for expensive items, Amazons is the best so far, as it tells you in the App but no longer sends you a PIN by text...
I have seen worse implementations than o2 ands seen better like Amazon...

I understand why it’s needed and I also understand that they weren’t to know that I don’t have access to my old number. The only thing is, is that they aren’t helping me resolve the issue and after reading other people’s stories… it seems they aren’t trying to help anybody. It seems a lot of people have this issue. I have no received the phone, yet they’re still asking me to send my old one back to them.
