New sim not working

i recently upgraded my pay monthly sim to a better tarrif, the new sim came yesterday and I followed the steps to swap my sim and put the new one in my phone when the old one stopped working. It says I've got signal and I can make phone calls but I can't receive iMessages or get any internet service unless I've got wifi. Can anyone help me? Tried the live chat but it's been constantly busy/ offline since yesterday!!

Text the word "Active" to 2020, save and reboot the phone after you get a text back.
You can also try resetting your network settings if that doesn't work.
Check in Settings >Phone >My Number that your phone number is correct too.
