Unfortunately O2 don't give out real time repair info.

Keep checking the Mast status is the only way.

Weather, parts, engineers and access to land all play a part.

O2 have been Known to give a goodwill gesture for prolonged loss of service.

You can check the status of your local mast here: http://status.o2.co.uk/ but that's about it. O2 do not publish repair timetables.

All you can do is keep checking here for updates http://status.o2.co.uk/

Unfortunately the network dont tell you when a mast will be fixed.

Raise a complaint through the link at the bottom of the page or speak to customer services.

I had a similar issue where i had no service for 3 months and after pointing out O2's own T's & C's (such as section 2.2 "You're entitled to the quality of service generally given by a competent mobile telecommunications service provider, using its reasonable skill and care" and  "Sometimes technical issues or outages on our Network can occur. If something goes wrong, we'll try to fix it quickly") along with other conditions I felt they didn't keep to, O2 offered to cancel my contract for free if i returned the handset. They also offered me a hugely discounted early termination fee if i chose to keep the handset.

3 weeks isn't very long in the scale of things but i agree it still 3 weeks too long.

Good luck

If your a Contract Customer with Home Wifi perhaps consider o2's Tugo App. http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

On Payg then options such as. Whatsapp and Viber for example as long as the recipients have them downloaded too as an Interim solution.

I agree that 3 weeks isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things...It is however, a damn long time when you are without a working phone and paying for a failure in service

We, as customers are powerless as it is covered in the T&C's (by all the networks)....... 😞

Hello

I have checked on the O2 status, hence why i know the mast is not working! as for the

"Weather, parts, engineers and access to land all play a part"

This seems to be a basic standard responce from O2, if you have no idea when the mast will be working again then i will have no option but to leave O2 as i am unable to work on the premis of "it will be fixed at some point"  its affecting my bussines and my sanity now!!

Hi MI5

Were not powerless as we can move to another provider, even if your contracted. O2's contract/policy is not Law, the law of the land is gospel and O2 have to abide by that. If your unable to use your phone in the area you live then there not proving a service (coverage at the time of contract) Also if they send you a change of T&T you dont have to agree and can also use that as a get out clause
