Fast track upgrade - does it exist?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been ringing o2 to upgrade for around 6 weeks now. Different times of day but still the same thing. I'm told by the automated voice that I'm not eligible for an upgrade but can do a fast track upgrade, and if i stay on the line i will be transferred to someone who can help me. I then listen to hideous music for around 10 minutes then the line goes dead.

I've tried to upgrade on line, but it says I can't upgrade until - and it displays that days date.

I've tried the webchat who told me to ring 202 or upgrade on line.

I've tried instore today, in desperation, and found the upgrade prices are dearer - i was advised its because online matches car phone warehouse prices....

I've been with 02 for around 13 years now, I've never had any problems, I've always had good service, but if someone doesn't answer the phone on the fast track upgrades line soon, I'm going elsewhere.

Anyone else having problems getting someone to answer the phone?

If its gone it's a bit worrying that the automated voice on 202 tells me I'm eligible for a fast track upgrade and forwards me to someone who can help me with a fast track upgrade. Though it explains why no one ever answers the phone!

I believe fast track would allow you to buy out the remainder of your contract before upgrading. Not worth it really.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

The fast track upgrade was free for my contract.
After a 38 minute wait this morning someone answered the phone and I managed to upgrade 6 weeks after I first tried.
Prices were higher than I expected and the phone is coming from car phone warehouse - do they own 02 now?
