Hi everyone,
Need a bit of your kind wisdom please as I'm not too cell phone savvy and sincere apologies if this question has been covered already in a different forum, I'm sure it probably has somewhere.
I have the iPhone 5 and due an ugrade in October when I am hoping the 5S or 6 will be on the market (fingers crossed:smileywink: However, I have been with O2 since the dawn of time with the same number and feel it would be beneficial to change my number now. Can anyone please advise the easiest way how I can do this as I really do not want to leave O2 but will if it's going to be a messy procedure as I am in my twilight years and don't need to be wasting time with a lot of techies going over my head on the phone ( no offence intended to you bright guys out there or to O2); I just don't need the hassle and require a speedy transition.
Many thanks for any advice you can share with me from your own experiences.
Ted.

Just do it now 1 free number change is allowed.
But ensure that once o2 change your number you register with the Telephone preferance service to help reduce them in the future.
I posted this on here before about prevention an reporting of this sort of thing.

Ring 202 for free and ask for a number change (1 free) saying you are getting loads of sales calls etc and want to change number.

Another thing to remember is not to put your actual phone number on websites unless they do actually need to have it to provide you a service!
I'm fed up of seeing a telephone number field when registering on websites when they really don't need your number. if you're ever unsure just give them a fake number! I like 07700 000000
