4444 is a number you dial, not send a text to, however, it seems your message centre number is wrong.

See guide here Guide: Text Message Tips (not sent or received)

I am using a Classic PARG sim card. Registered with O2,  Top up with £10    They were able to sent me a code in the registration process, I cannot send say using 4444 gives error 0,

In Connections Menu the sim card is in position 1  Does not have the mobile no, did find a place in the tree for messages, where I could insert the number, but this has not changed anything..

Can receive messages, but cannot send.

regards
