My number not recognised

People trying to call me on my mobile are suddenly receiving a message saying The number is not recognised.

 I can make out going calls and send and receive sms text messages.

Im with PAYG and its topped up .

 

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks

Start by checking your postcode for faults http://status.o2.co.uk/
Then turn off phone and remove sim card, wipe it with a dry cloth and then try again.

It says a phone mast  near me isnt working and might cause problems .

 They will update me.

 Fingers crossed its this causing the problem.

@Alison3 At least O2 are aware of the problem. You may find it takes some time before the issue is resolved. There are many reasons for mast problems, and O2 do not give timelines for repairs, so you'll have to be patient.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

@BambinoIt  must have been down for a few days already so hopefilly not too long.  At least I can still use the sms t

 

Im a bit annoyed that my OH is with O2 and he doesnt have a problem with his mobile .
