Hi my phone went through an update a few days ago and since then when I am ob facebook and search for names in the searchbar a message comes up at the bottom of the page reading 'cant connect right now'. Beside this reads 'more' and when I tap on this it tells me I need to check my internet settings? My facebook is also quite slow on updating the news feed.

They could try clearing the app cache for Facebook and then rebooting the telephone. A reinstall might do the same thing although it's another option.

You go into System > Apps > Select Facebook and choose the relevant options from there.

@Anonymous You obviously must have money to burn if you keep Facebook open all the time while you're using your data. Facebook is a notorious data hog. You'd be much better off using it through a browser as opposed to running the app.

I use it that way too as the data harvesting concerns me.

It won't use any significant amount of data unless you have the app open and you are watching videos or any of the other rubbish that gets posted on there.
