Solved: Call waiting

Need help with how to setup call waiting on my Samsung galaxy a41. I've pressed the indicator button where it says call waiting but still not working it comes back saying failed to read data check sim card or network connection. I've tried taking sim card out restart the phone. Any ideas please.
