Been told my upgrade fees may been waived can anyone explain what that means ?

I did the upgrade on us that o2 advertised on there app saying upgrade now and we will pay off the rest of your contract on us, has that now been paid ? I won’t be getting a huge fee in the bank to be paid

O2 said they would pay off the rest of my contract, would they actually do it?

Will I be liable for pro rata if I upgrade today, I’ve had no luck getting in contact with anyone to ask

Can someone tell me if I pay 50.24 now and I can upgrade to a new one with more stuff at 50.34 I’ve been told I’ll pay pro rata what does this mean
