I went to the O2 shop and received a new SIM card to replace my lost SIM card. I asked to continue using my old number. I was informed that it should take 24 hours and in most cases, up to an hour. It has been 24 hours yet my phone/SIM card has not yet registered. It just states 'sim not provisioned'. I am in need of my data as I need this for my SatNav for my journey back home. Please can someone help me, I have also been turning the phone off and on. Turning it on airplane mode, the whole shabang. Any advice would be helpful right now. Thank you.

Only O2 can help, @Misscurls34 - any chance you have time to revisit the store today, with photo id, before you have to travel?

Meantime, navigation for your journey home may need to be done the old-fashioned way:

Good luck!

@Misscurls34 You do not need data to use your SAT NAV. Use Wi-Fi to download the maps you need beforehand:

If you reported your old sim as lost then it would have been blocked @Misscurls34

You need to ask customer services to remove all the bars ( Guide: O2 BARs ) that were put on your account.

If you didn't report the sim lost, then your new sim needs activating and getting your number moved across. In which case you need to speak to customer services.

All numbers and ways to contact them are in the guide below:

Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here
