Could be an emerging technical issue.

There’s an apparent problem in my area but my son works in London and his is down to so not sure if it’s because we’re both on my account, I’m not sure but I’ve tried everything aswell

It happens.
My VM broadband went out for a couple of hours this morning.
Thankfully I get texts when these things happen

Lets hope it does get fixed soon! I'm due to go on holiday in a few days so this puts a big spanner in the works if it doesn't get sorted!
