The iPhone 16 max pro came with an esim. followed the set up as per the phone's instructions but when trying to transfer my old phone number to the new phone - the software would not allow me to do so. Do I delete the e-sim it came with and start again.?  Or do I cancel the purchase and send it back.  I have an business account but for some reason the phone has landed up as a non business item.

@StephenMH

Delete esim, put old plastic sim in phone and forget all about esims.

Personally, if the old SIM is working I would use that. eSIMs and O2 don't work well together!

Have you installed the eSIM?

See eSIM - How to activate

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Too many issues with esims restricting changes of phones and not being able to gain account access @StephenMH
