You don't need to give notice to transfer to a sim only or PAYG sim.
Just call CS on the free number, but if you do change to PAYG you will need a new sim card which will be sent to your registered address.

Have you given O2 notice of contract ending?... If not it will continue as a 30 day rolling contract?

http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/m-p/566774/high...

You need to contact O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus  The numbers for phoning them from abroad are in that link..

Can I just check something Rich? I thought you had to give 30 days notice otherwise contract would continue as a 30 day rolling contract....The OP says the contract ends tomorrow...so they would need to ring today?

Yes, I assumed they would ring today, but still no notice required to change contract type if staying with O2.
