my phone is not recognising my sim card. it is saying that there is no sim. It worked fine until a couple of days aGO

Take the sim out and reinsert it. Reboot the phone. If that doesn't work then you probably need a new sim. Get one instore or by calling O2

I'd start with rebooting the phone.
If that doesn't work, take out the sim, give it a gentle rub and try again.
If all else fails, pop into your local o2 store for a new sim.
