They may advise to visit an O2 HighStreet store to be given another. They can transfer your number and tariff there for you too.

Can you give us a bit more information? when you say activated...is it a replacement sim and you are trying to do a sim swap or is it a new pay and go sim and you are having problems with the activation?

Perhaps the OP can come back and let us know if it's a replacement sim for L&S or a replacement. It may just be a bar on the account or the sim swap hasn't been done.
