I recently damaged my o2 device and was out of a phone until august/september 2020, so I took out an o2 pay monthly under my name as the damaged one was under my parent's name due to me being under 18 at the time it was taken out. I want to pay off the damaged device contract (it is on o2 refresh) and transfer that number to the o2 pay monthly contract in my name, is this possible?

Would requesting the PAC code work? I had a relative with a similar situation at EE and they said it would be a hassle as they would have to transfer it to a PAYG sim and then to the pay monthly sim. I would just use the new number however I have a lot of accounts under 2FA along with all the new bank security regulations needing your number, and I have had trouble in the past when I can't access an account due to me not having that number anymore.

I searched for the same question in the forums but could only find transfer payg numbers to pay monthly. If there is already a thread please send me in the right direction!

Just call customer service and ask them to migrate your old number to your new contract. You will also need the old account holder present on the call to give their permission.

Once the number moves across, the old contract will end automatically and the final bill will be generated.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
