Solved: Transfer number to a different O2 account

There are a number of posts on this topic so sorry if a duplicate, but...

My son currently has a SIM only contract (although strictly it's out of contract) that was set up at my then girlfriend's house and her direct debit.

I want to move this to an account in his name, with the direct debit coming from his bank account.

Can this be done, or do I need to get a PAC and port or the number which would cancel the contract with O2?

If you want an account in your sons name then he will have to take out a contract an pass the credit checks.

Depending on whose name the original contract is in it may be possible to then migrate the original number across
