Sim only upgrade credit check

Hi all

I'm new to 02 and I'm on a 12 month sim only contract £25 (25gig unlimited call unlimited texts) now I have a date for my upgrade which is 7/1/2017 and I have been given quite a few different stories about the credit check what I want to know is will I get my upgrade done no problem get the phone I want I'm after either "iphone 7/7+" or "Samsung s7 edge" or will there be another credit check I'm willing to pay upto £80 for the upfront cost and looking at maximum £70 a month for the actual contract.

I have looked at the 02 community and Google it but 90% I'm seeing "no credit check for upgrade"

If anyone could help me that would be great thanks

I'm not following you?

You can upgrade from a simo to a phone contract so the OP wants to do this.....

I know that. I was talking about the wording. NOT on this post specifically. I was asked by you back in January whether I had taken my new simo as an upgrade or new contract. I am merely saying the wording can confuse. Smiley Indifferent

Hi thank you for your feedback and answers I have just come off the phone to the upgrade team after 40 minutes and I told him what I was told previously as stated in my comment on here and he said cos January will be my 6 month of paying I will definitely be able to get a phone contract and that if I carry on paying the next couple of bills I will not be credit checked again it will go through without cos they go by bills paid/account upto date plus they use there own little credit system it's just to see you can pay your bills he said don't worry just ring up and we will give you the best deals on whatever phone you want
